Brian McKenzie Promoted to Head of Audio

The Boston Crusaders are excited to announce that Brian McKenzie has been promoted to Head of Audio for the 2022 season! In this position, McKenzie will oversee the BAC Audio Team and all live mixing, monitoring, and maintenance of the audio systems throughout the summer tour. Meet Brian McKenzie by reading his bio below!

Brian McKenzie is a musician based in Marietta, GA, where he owns and operates a private music and production studio, and mentors aspiring artists of all ages.

Originally from Greensboro, NC, Brian has been performing for twenty years, and teaching for twelve. A graduate of the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University, he holds degrees in music performance and music industry studies, with a focus in recording/production. Through his studies, he was fortunate to perform with many ensembles including the symphony orchestra, wind ensemble, percussion ensemble, tabla ensemble, marching band, steel band, jazz band, various chamber ensembles; as well as engineer and produce many projects for local musicians through the Robert F. Gilley Recording Studio.

Brian began his career traveling across the south-eastern region as a contract performer and technician for media companies and performance groups while also working regularly as an educator and designer for independent and scholastic groups in the WGI, BOA, and DCA circuits. Between 2017 and 2018 Brian worked with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps on their productions ‘Jagged Line’ and ‘Session 44’. He then picked up his life (and dog), moved to Georgia, started his recording and production company, and joined the Boston Crusaders for their 2019 production ‘Goliath’. He is looking forward to returning in 2022 as a producer and head of audio.
