What class will the winter guard be competing in for the 2020 season?

  • Inspire will be participating in Independent World Class for the 2020 season.

How much will membership dues be for the 2020 season?

  • $1900 Tuition + $100 Member Consumables Fee (warmups, member jacket, gloves, shoes)
  • *Pay In-Full Discount – A $200 discount will be applied if tuition is paid in full upon accepting the contract.

What will the payment schedule be?

  • September 27th – $100 Due (member consumables fee)
  • October 20th – $316.66 Due
  • November 20th – $316.66 Due
  • December 20th – $316.66 Due
  • January 20th – $316.66 Due
  • February 20th – $316.66 Due
  • March 20th – $316.70 Due
  • *The monthly payments will draw automatically using the credit card on file.

What other expenses are there, in addition to the membership dues?

  • We tried our hardest to include as much as we could in the membership dues, in order to avoid surprise expenses later in the season. Things like your warm ups, member jacket, WGI housing, gloves, shoes, etc. are all included. What are not included are things like undergarments, make-up & hair supplies, weekend housing, food, transportation, and other personal expenses.

Will you do fundraisers?

  • Yes, we will offer fundraisers of various types throughout the marching season. Some fundraisers may be required for all members to participate, where funds raised will go to the general fund. Other fundraisers will be available for members to raise money towards their individual member dues. We will also have event type fundraisers throughout the season, where members will be asked to staff things such as souvenir booths. We also highly encourage seeking out sponsorship opportunities to help offset the cost of dues.
  • 2020 Members will be required to participate in our mandatory event fundraisers on at least one of the following dates:
    • October 24th-26th, 2019
    • Nov. 13th-16th, 2019

I still owe money to another organization from a previous season, am I able to audition for Inspire?

    • WGI discourages independent color guards from utilizing performers who have outstanding monies owed to a previous color guard.

Where will rehearsals be?

  • Some rehearsal sites for the 2020 season are still TBA. Below are possible rehearsal facilities for the 2020 season. There is always the possibility of a last-minute rehearsal site change. Members should always check the latest schedule/calendar for the most up to date information.
    • Indiana State Fairgrounds
      • 4-H Exhibit Hall & Auditorium, Farm Bureau Building, 1202 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205
        • Overnight accommodations are available on site
        • Showers are available on site
        • Limited kitchenette available
      • Indiana School for the Deaf, KRC Building, 1200 E 42nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205
        • No overnight accommodations available
        • Showers may be available on site
        • No kitchen facilities available

When will rehearsals take place?

  • Rehearsals will begin in the last weekend in September, and will be held Friday evenings through Sunday evenings. It is our goal to have a nearly complete rehearsal and show schedule available at auditions. 

What circuits will Inspire perform and compete in?

  • Inspire plans to compete in IHSCGA, MEPA, and WGI.

I am still in high school, can I march with Inspire?

    • WGI discourages independent color guards from utilizing high school students who were previously enrolled in an active winter guard high school program and have not yet graduated.
