Certified Athletic Trainer

Position Description

The Boston Crusaders seeks certified athletic trainers to provide services for this dynamic performing arts ensemble. The ensemble is a combination of music, high impact athletic marching, and choreographed dance. The performers assemble in Castleton, Vermont in mid May and are stationary for approximately 30 days learning the 2018 production. We then depart on a national tour rehearsing and performing in over 30 venues from June 15th through August 13th.

Lodging and meals provided when stationary. When traveling, sleeper bus accommodations and daily meals provided. Flight/transportation to and from the ensemble is paid for by the Boston Crusaders.

This position is paid at a professional rate; weekly. The coverage can be split between multiple trainers.

Media Team Photographer/Videographer

Job Information:

Do you have a passion to build your portfolio and develop your craft as a photographer or videographer… or both? Do you love to tell stories and create artistic narratives within a fast paced competitive drum corps environment? The Boston Crusaders is seeking an energetic and well qualified photographer and/or videographer for the 2018 summer season.

The selected candidate(s) will create and execute photo/video projects that document the members, volunteers, staff and the organization as a whole. Candidate(s) will be responsible for creating high-quality digital content for the general projects of the Boston Crusaders and Inspire Arts & Music. As the photographer/videographer, you will work closely with the Boston Crusaders media team to create innovative and moving content. Candidate(s) should have a keen eye for sports-related content with strong skills with DSLR cameras and editing/creating projects in Adobe Creative Cloud. This person will have an amazing opportunity to travel the country, hone their artistic skills in real-world experiences and build their portfolio of published material.

Must be highly motivated and self-starting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of the corps’ media team under the direction of the Media Team Coordinator
  • Work independently to self-start innovative projects
  • Manage simultaneous project tasks and deadlines
  • Create on trend and emotionally compelling content for a variety of audiences
  • Conceptualize, create and deliver projects in collaboration with corps media team
  • Produce high quality content on all assigned projects
  • Optimize, organize and prepare files for a variety of mediums
  • Other responsibilities as they develop, based on interest areas and organization needs

Requirements (Videographer):

  • Experience in videography, cinematography, film production or related fields
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, knowledge of CC desired
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects or Adobe Illustrator is a plus
  • Experience shooting events (indoor and outdoor) and interviews
  • Must have DSLR camera and other necessary equipment
  • Must be composed and skilled in making fast pace decisions
  • Must be motivated with strong work ethic
  • Must have effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have a sense of humor
  • Prior experience shooting marching bands or sporting events w/ testimonials a plus
  • Open to feedback, with strong desire to develop professional skills
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, punctual and flexible
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accountability

Location and Schedule:

This position will be structured around the Boston Crusaders 2018 Summer Tour and will require travel with the Boston Crusaders. Summer positions run from the months of May-August. Positions will require 40+ hours per week.
