Virtual Concert in the Park Postponed
Our Virtual Concert in the Park, originally scheduled for Monday, June 15 is postponed to a future date.
Inspire Arts & Music is focusing our attention on the important community and national conversations around systemic racism, injustice, and abuses of power that Black Americans have faced. We are saddened and disturbed by the events that led to the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and other countless Black lives throughout our nation’s history.
We are proud of the work we do within the city of Boston and beyond. Our building – in the diverse neighborhood of Hyde Park, Boston – is the home of two non-profit organizations and two minority-owned small businesses. Our city programming seeks to explore different cultures, music, and instruments from around the world and bring the joy of drumming and shared collective musical experiences to the children, teachers, parents, and the community. The vast majority of the children in our city programs are Black American. We want these children to become the leaders of tomorrow. We want to help these communities to flourish, and we want to help create a society where they are safe and valued. Now is the time to stand together.
We look forward to showcasing our students and sharing our progress when the time is appropriate.
