Boston Crusaders Partner With FJM, Michael J. Cesario
Fresh off a historic summer, the Boston Crusaders are proud to name FJM, Inc. (Fred J. Miller Inc.) as our 2023 uniform and costume provider.
As the marching arts’ premier uniform designer, the Boston Crusaders will tap FJM’s Principal Designer, Michael J. Cesario, to craft our 2023 corps and color guard uniforms. Cesario will collaborate with Boston Crusaders’ Artistic Director, Keith Potter, to establish our new look and ultimately bring our 2023 production to life.
“FJM has a history of partnering with Drum Corps’ leading visionaries to create new and unique concepts that will later inform and inspire the entire activity. What an honor to welcome the Boston Crusaders to the FJM family. For me, personally, it’s a real treat to work with friends, old and new, in an atmosphere that values creativity, contribution, and excellence. It’s a wild ride!” Michael J. Cesario, Principal Designer – FJM, Inc.
For the past 55 years, the Miller family has spent their lives supporting bands, guards, and corps nationwide. Their impressive roster currently boasts a large mass of the top DCI, WGI, and BOA finalists. As the Boston Crusaders begin our 83rd year, we are thrilled to join the FJM legacy and wear a Cesario design with pride.
“I couldn’t be more excited about the FJM/Boston collaboration. I have known the Miller family for a very long time and have always respected their dedication to creating extremely positive experiences for young performers,” said Keith Potter, Artistic Director of the Boston Crusaders. “I have also had the wonderful opportunity to work with Michael J. Cesario on several previous projects and I am ecstatic that the entire Boston Crusaders organization will now benefit from his artistic vision and production expertise.”
As the 2023 season begins to take shape, Potter and Cesario have already begun work on the Boston Crusaders’ look. “We have been exchanging ideas for a few weeks now and the initial sketches for our 2023 program are right on target,” says Keith Potter. Combining Cesario’s industry-changing designs, Potter’s attention to detail, and FJM’s quality materials, the 2023 Boston Crusaders are set to take the field in a striking, distinctive design.
