The Boston Crusaders are proud to announce the promotion of Jack Kaplan to Corps Director ahead of our 2027 season!

Working alongside CEO and Executive Director, Chris Holland, Jack steps into the newly re-established role of Corps Director to further execute both Inspire Arts & Music and the Boston Crusader’s vision and mission through the day to day management of the drum corps.

As Corps Director, Jack will continue to collaborate with the Inspire Arts & Music office and Boston Crusaders administrative team to amplify the experience of the performers, staff and support teams throughout the season.

Jack joined the Boston Crusaders as an Operations Assistant in 2018 before assuming his most recent position as Tour Director and Director of Membership. Through his leadership, Jack has kept the membership experience at the forefront of all decisions, improving many facets of corps operations, procedures, and communication. Over the years, Jack has played a pivotal role behind the scenes, leading the teams that provided the corps with the steady housing, transportation, and resources to succeed both on and off the field. Jack’s unwavering dedication allowed the corps to take on new challenges with two cross-country tours, including 2023’s return to Colorado, and a championship season in California in 2025.

“We are excited to elevate Jack into this new role. Jack has played a key role in developing all aspects of our operations and management,” says Chris Holland, CEO/Executive Director. “He is very well respected. It has been a privilege to work with him and see him grow. I am looking forward to more great things and more great times together.”

Jack has dedicated his life to pageantry with strong roots in the Northeast’s marching circuits. Jack started his career as the drum major for Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps (2012 – 2014) before joining their staff as Operations Manager (2015 – 2017). Jack joined the Boston Crusaders administrative staff in 2018 while remaining a key stakeholder in the East Coast marching arts. Over the years, Jack has run operations, events, and competitive shows for numerous ensembles such as Fusion Winter Guard, Blessed Sacrament Colorguard, Winter Star, Shenendehowa High School (NY) and Hillsborough High School (NJ). During the year, Jack works full time for the Boston Crusaders’ parent company, Inspire Arts & Music, where he provides operational support for IAM’s educational programming including the Boston Crusaders, Inspire Winter Guard, and Great East Music Festivals.
