Boston Crusaders Medal to Conclude Historic Summer
After a record-breaking summer on the 2024 Drum Corps International Summer Tour, the Boston Crusaders completed our season at the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, August 10th. Capping off our 25th consecutive year as finalists, the corps emerged from a fierce three-night series of competition with a record-breaking score and an impressive second-place finish.
With our highest score ever of 97.413, we were proud to receive the silver medal for the second time in or organization’s 84-year history. This marks our second year as medalists in the last three years, previously tying for the silver medal in 2022 alongside our friends at the Bluecoats.
Alongside this momentous placement, the Boston Crusaders Color Guard secured their place in BAC history with their fourth George Zingali Best Color Guard Award. The BACCG previously earned the Zingali in 2018, 2019, and 2022.
One of our drum majors, Wes Booker, also took home the organization’s first Jim Jones Leadership Award. The Jim Jones is a recognition reserved for outstanding leadership and dedication, awarded to one world class and open open class drum major every season.
Thank you to all of our donors, sponsors, volunteers, staff, parents, members, and fans who made this season possible for our performers. Whether you sponsored a meal, drove a vehicle, or cheered from the stands, we were grateful to have the support of Crusader Nation behind us every step of the way!
While this season has only just ended, preparations for our 85th Anniversary in 2025 are already underway. To join the corps in 2025, you can learn more by visiting https://bostoncrusaders.org/audition. For parents and fans, be sure to stay in touch by signing up for our newsletter below!
